Growth vs IDCW option
In the Growth option, all profits stay invested and your NAV grows. You get money only when you sell units.
In the IDCW option (Income Distribution cum Capital Withdrawal, earlier called dividend), the fund pays out money from time to time, and the NAV falls by the amount paid. Payouts are not guaranteed and are taxed at your income-tax slab.
For long-term wealth building, the Growth option is usually more tax-efficient.
